The Witness/Evangelism Committee seeks to welcome strangers and the un-churched to GUMC and lead them to    ministries, which will aid in their becoming disciples for Christ. Through prayer and guidance of the Holy Spirit, this  Committee uses its gifts to embrace all who seek Christ, provide Christian nurture, encouragement, and guidance to those    persons who desire to become a member of the fellowship of Christian believers through membership in GUMC. For more information on any of these programs, contact the Committee Chair, Carol Smith.

Worship Greeters

Worship greeters serve as a part of our hospitality team by giving a warm and sincere welcome to members and visitors. Directional assistance and information are happily provided.

Door Step and Welcome Committee

Committee members join the pastoral staff in welcoming first-time worshippers to Grace UMC. Appreciation is expressed for their visit and a welcome bag is given, as well as encouragement to return and become a part of our church family.

Front Line Ministry

Providing greeters in our parking lots is a new ministry for the Witness/Evangelism Committee. These volunteers will be the first friendly faces that our members and visitors see as they exit their cars on Sunday mornings.

On Angels Wings

Our golf cart ministry, led by Joe Billiter provides a much-needed quick and convenient ride from the RTB parking lot to and from the 11:00 worship service. Special assistance is provided as needed. Please contact Joe Billiter if you are willing to serve.

Congregational Care

Many groups and individuals reach out to Grace members who can no longer attend services regularly. In addition to the pastoral care provided by our ministers, the following groups provide visitation and contacts: UMW Circles, Sunday School Classes, Christ Care Groups, UMYF, and others. If you are aware of anyone who needs a visit, please contact the church office or one of the ministers.

Sweetwater Satellite

This committee looks forward to the continued development of our Sweetwater Satelite property “The Way” on 417 Randall Rd. in North Augusta.
