United Methodist Women

UMW Pillow Ministry
The United Methodist Women’s purpose is To Know Jesus Christ and Make His Love Known in our community through fellowship and outreach. United Methodist Women’s structure is to meet in smaller groups called circles on a monthly basis. Circles range in age and focus but all meet to share devotions, biblical lessons, plan missions and build community. The whole UMW meets together three times a year and works together on larger missions throughout the year.
UMW is a missions organization with a focus on Women, Children and Youth. We are here to support and serve people, missions and organizations from within our own church to globally. At Grace, we provide funeral meals to bereaved church families, supply congregational care, support Kids Club, CDC, VBS, Salkehatchie and fundraise to award annual scholarships to Grace youth attending college. Locally, we support Project WARM, CMONA, Family Promise, and host the Pillow Ministry creating over 200 pillows for local breast cancer patients annually. Statewide, we support Epworth Children’s Home, Killingworth Home, Wallace Family Life Center, Bethlehem Centers, Alston Wilkes Center, and the Cumbee Center. Part of our pledge money also goes nationally and globally to other UMW supported missions.
United Methodist Women is growing and changing. Our members currently span 70 years of age and bring different experience, talents and views together to build a stronger group looking to serve the women, children and youth in our church, community and state. We welcome any women to come join a sponsored event, try a circle or just get in touch to ask more questions!
