Grace METTS

“Meet, Eat, Travel, Talk, and Serve” is a fellowship and inspiration group for seniors 55 and older. Mem-bership is not limited to members of Grace UMC. Inspirational and educational programs are followed by a delicious luncheon prepared by our church host. A book table is shared. Meeting dates for the 2009-2010 calendar year:

September 22 Michael Ryan, author of The Last Freedom and editor of the Augusta Chronicle

October 27 North Augusta Director of Public Safety, John C. Thomas

November 24 A dramatic presentation by Laura Adams entitled “Women God Called”

January 26 Time to Travel with Grace members Bonnie and Bill Baugh

February 23 Bill Kirby, Metro editor and columnist for the Augusta Chronicle

March 23 Local television icons/personalities from the past entertain with stories of television dur- ing the great years. Lee Sheridan of TV12 and 26, Jim Davis of Channel 6.

April 27 Jeannine Wilson of Trinity Hospital will answer questions about hip, knee and joint replacements.

May 25 Dr. Timothy Owings, noted author and concert pianist will close our year with a presentation of musical numbers on the piano.

Luncheon is $5.00 per person and reservations are requested by noon the Monday before meeting date. Call the church office at 279-7525. The President of METTS is Mildred Weeks, Program Chair is Mary Cashon Jones, and Travel Coordinators are E.J. & Shirley Holgate (279-0763). Please attend METTs and read Tidings of Grace for more details about these trips and information about additional travel. These trips are not limited to members of Grace or METTS.

A workout that offers a fusion of jazz dance, resistance training, Pilates, yoga and kickboxing. It’s so much fun, you won’t think of it as exercise!
